The Illinois State University Big Red Marching Machine (BRMM), cheerleaders, and the Redline Express Dancers entertain crowds throughout most of ISU's athletic events. The BRMM, which produces and CD and DVD combo each year, is more than 275 members strong. The marching band performs at all Redbird football home games at Hancock Stadium, playoff games, and travels the state of Illinois performing at high school stadiums each year.

The Courtside Players Pep Band appears at men's and women's basketball games, along with volleyball matches, and travels with the teams for post-season tournaments. The Redline Express, a dance group under the director of BRMM, also performs at all home games and post-season tournaments.
