Chelsi Scott enters her second season as the graduate student manager for the women’s basketball and volleyball programs, after joining both staffs in August 2016.

Scott comes to Illinois State from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where she was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team. She produced a solid senior season that saw her average 14.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while finishing in the top 10 on the school’s all-time rebounding list.

Scott also served on Wellesley’s Athletic Advisory Committee for three years, serving as the co-president in 2015, worked at the Keohane Sports Center as a front desk coordinator and worked various positions in the athletic department, including student event staff coordinator and competition game announcer. Because of her efforts, Scott was a recipient of the department’s outstanding contribution award in 2015.

The Portland, Michigan, native graduated from Wellesley in May 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in economics. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the psychology of sport and physical activity at Illinois State.
