Catch up with Papoccia and the Parma Panthers

PARMA, Italy - For the second-straight season, former Illinois State linebacker Andrew Papoccia will provide insight into the Italian Football League, as he begins his fifth season with the Parma Panthers and his third as the head coach.

The IFL and the Parma Panthers were made famous by John Grisham's novel, "Playing for Pizza," where Papoccia and former Redbird quarterback Mike Souza were featured in the author notes. Souza is no longer with the Panthers, but former ISU wide receiver Nolan Gatewood is now Papoccia's offensive coordinator.

Papoccia will send updates throughout the season, so click here to read Papoccia's first installment of the 2009 blog, "Blogging for Pizza."
