NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football team has started the 2010 season 1-1 overall, but will open its conference schedule this weekend at No. 20 South Dakota State. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the upcoming game with the Jackrabbits and will offer insights from last weekend's game at Northwestern Thursday night live on The Brock Spack Show from Schooners in Bloomington.
Co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz will interact with coach Spack during the hour-long show beginning at 6 p.m. The show has returned to its regular night on Thursdays and will remain there for the rest of the regular season, after the first couple shows were moved due to conflicts with St. Louis Cardinal broadcasts on the network.
Coach Spack will be joined on the broadcast by junior defensive tackle Eric Brunner as this week's player guest. Brunner will start in his 17th-consecutive game Saturday against the Jackrabbits and has been one of the most consistent players on the defensive line for the Redbirds over the past two seasons. A 2009 All-Missouri Valley Football Conference Second Team selection and 2010 preseason All-MVFC pick, Brunner has recorded 10 tackles and a tackle-for-loss in two games for the Redbirds this season.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner Grove and Clinton Streets. If you can't make it out to Schooners, the show will be broadcast on WJBC AM-1230 and 93.7 FM in the Twin Cities and on GoRedbirds.com.
