Come Out To The Brock Spack Show at Schooners

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State football head coach Brock Spack will preview the Missouri Valley Football Conference opener at Youngstown State Saturday and give his insights on last weekend's win over Morehead State on the Brock Spack Show, live from Schooners Thursday night at 6 p.m.

Illinois State (1-1) and Youngstown State (1-1) will open up the Missouri Valley Football Conference season at 3 p.m. Saturday at Stambaugh Stadium, with each team hoping to get an early leg up in the standings. The meeting will be the 21st in the all time series between the two schools that is tied at 10-10 overall. Last season, the Redbirds won on a last-second touchdown pass in the conference finale at Hancock Stadium to come away with a 41-39 win over the Penguins.

Co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz will interact with coach Spack during the hour-long show and also welcome senior offensive lineman and Bloomington native Cody White as the show's player guest.

White split time Dane Zumbahlen and Chris Riley working at both offensive tackle positions in 2010, but has taken over duties as the starting left tackle in 2011. In two games so far this season, White has helped anchor a senior-laden offensive line that has only allowed one sack and helped the Redbirds 187.7 yards per game on the ground and 269 yards per game through the air.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. If you can't make it out to Schooners, the show will be broadcast on WJBC AM-1230 and 93.7 FM in the Twin Cities and on GoRedbirds.com.
