Redbirds Conclude Drake Hidden Dual

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Illinois State men's tennis team finished the third and final day of competition at the Drake Hidden Dual with a 4-4 singles record, resulting in an overall weekend singles record of 12-16 and a 6-3 doubles mark.

Christoffer Greve won two of Sunday's singles matches, and teammates Rodrigo Oliveira and Dylan Steffens earned the other two victories. Individual scores were not recorded throughout the weekend because the Drake Hidden Dual was considered an unsanctioned open tournament, allowing for as many matches as possible.

"I think today was tough on the guys after having played so many matches over three days," said head coach Mark Klysner. "We were a little beat up physically but still won some matches today. Chris went 7-0 on the weekend in singles to lead the team. He's just had a great fall thus far, going 13-2, and he's just been playing so well consistently over the last few weeks. We'll rest up this week and see who gets invited to the ITA Regionals starting on the 22nd at Notre Dame."

ISU will continue its fall schedule Oct. 22-26 at the ITA Midwest Regionals in Notre Dame, Indiana.
