NORMAL, Ill.— Illinois State track and field alum Aisha Praught will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2015 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Beijing, China this Sunday. This will be her first appearance at the IAAF World Championships where she will be representing Jamaica.
Praught will be competing against 46 athletes from several different countries. She is currently ranked 28th in the world in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase according to All-Athletics.com. Praught ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase on three occasions this summer, one being at the International Meet Sotteville Les-Rouen in Sotteville France, where she placed third with a time of 9:36.63.
The World Championships will be broadcast on NBC and Universal Sports. UniversalSports.com and NBC Sports Live Extra will feature live streaming that can be accessed from desktops, mobile devices and tablets. The IAAF will also feature a live streaming on IAAF Live Stream.
