SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Illinois State women's tennis team has earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award, as announced by the ITA.
Illinois State is one of 117 NCAA Division I institutions to garner the ITA All-Academic Team Award, which is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale. All varsity letter winners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
Additionally, Illinois State senior Kadi Ilves was recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete. Ilves holds a perfect 4.00 GPA in renewable energy. A two-time Missouri Valley Conference Scholar Athlete, Ilves earned a 12-19 singles record in 2014-15, competing primarily in the No. 1 position. She also recorded a 10-10 doubles mark.
