NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head football coach Brock Spack and his staff will publicly announce the 2016 Redbird recruiting class at a National Signing Day party to be held inside the Hancock Stadium Club the evening of Feb. 3. The event is free of charge and open to the public and a cash bar will be provided.
The annual event will begin at 6 p.m., with a short meet-and-greet session with the coaching staff before Coach Spack provides commentary and recruiting insight on the Redbird prospects, with video clips of the newest Redbirds available for viewing. Following a question and answer session, attendees are encouraged to stick around to watch the ISU men's basketball game against Loyola on ESPN3.
Parking will be made available in lots G73 and G83 adjacent to the stadium and the Ropp Agriculture Building.
"This is an event that we look forward to each year and is one that our entire staff enjoys," Spack stated. "We all put in a lot of long hours traveling and meeting recruits and their families, so the signing day party is a great way to celebrate all of that hard work. We hope to see everyone at the Hancock Stadium Club to talk with us about the newest Redbird Football players and have some fun."
Prior to the event, GoRedbirds.com will provide up-to-date signing day coverage for the 11th consecutive year. As each National Letter of Intent (NLI) is certified by the Illinois State Athletics Compliance Office, biographies of each ISU recruit will be updated on GoRedbirds.com. In addition, RedbirdHD.tv subscribers will have exclusive access to a highlight video of each signee, with coaches' comments available to view. Â
