WATCH PRESS CONFERENCE
NORMAL, Ill. – Fans can watch Tuesday's men's and women's basketball media conferences, featuring men's basketball coach Dan Muller and women's basketball coach Barb Smith, beginning at 3 p.m., from the media room in Redbird Arena. The event will be streamed live on RedbirdHD.tv.
Once Muller is finished fielding questions, junior guards Tony Wills and Paris Lee are scheduled to take the podium. Smith will then address the media at approximately 3:15 p.m. She will be joined by freshman guard Katrina Beck.
Winners of five of the last six games, the Illinois State men's basketball team (8-7, 2-0 MVC) is aiming to remain undefeated in Missouri Valley Conference play when the Redbirds host Loyola Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. ISU is coming off of a 67-62 win at Drake (Jan. 3) in which Lee scored 15 points with two rebounds and two assists, while Wills netted five points, including what proved to be the game-winning 3-pointer.
The Illinois State women's basketball team (3-10, 1-1 MVC) also recorded a Missouri Valley Conference victory over the weekend by beating Wichita State (Jan. 3), 70-49. The Redbird women will try to establish a winning streak when ISU travels to Indiana State Sunday, Jan. 10 for a 1 p.m. tipoff. In the win over Wichita State, Beck led Illinois State with 17 points and five rebounds.
