NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team will open the spring season with two home matches Sunday against SIUE and Western Illinois.
The Redbirds will host SIUE at 1 p.m. and will then turn around to host Western Illinois at 6 p.m. Both matches will be played at their new indoor facility, The Bloomington Tennis Center, located at 4101 Wicker Rd, Bloomington, Illinois.
"We are really excited to start the spring season," Illinois State head coach Maja Kovacek said. "Double headers are always challenging, but they are a great way to start the season.
"SIUE is a team with a lot of depth and we will need to be solid from top to bottom."
Illinois State has not competed since its fall finale at Miami where the team went 1-2 in singles and 4-2 in doubles at the FIU Panther Invite.
