NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will travel to Dayton, Ohio to compete against Wright State Saturday and Dayton Sunday. Last weekend, ISU earned a win at home against Eastern Illinois, 5-2, improving their record to an even 3-3.
"This should be another good test for us this coming weekend," said head coach, Mark Klysner. "We definitely need to play better doubles this weekend and not have to put so much pressure on our singles play."
Wright State is currently 0-5 in the spring campaign after falling to Michigan State, Saint Francis, Toledo, Abilene Christian and Xavier. Dayton currently holds a record of 2-5 after falling to No. 15 Kentucky, Belmont, Abilene Christian, Xavier and Butler. Dayton has earned wins against Toledo and IUPUI to start off the season.
Play against Wright State will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the South Regency Tennis Center and play against Dayton will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday at the Five Seasons Sports Club. To stay up to date on the Illinois State men's tennis team, follow them on Twitter: @RedbirdMTEN.
