The Redbirds currently sit in seventh place in the 22-team field with a two-round score of 609 (300-309). Illinois State was in a tie for fourth place after the first 18 holes when the Redbirds tied their lowest score of the season by shooting a 300. Ball State leads the event with a 593 (300-293), six strokes ahead of second-place Richmond (295+304=599).

Seiser tallied a pair of 2-over-par 38s in the second round and produced two more birdies, with one coming on each side.
Junior Kiley Walsh shot an 8-over-par 152 (77-75). She finished with one birdie in the first round, as she shot a 77 (38-39). Over the second 18 holes, Walsh started with a 40, before firing a 1-under-par 35 on the back nine, which include a birdie and eight-consecutive pars, to shoot a 3-over-par 75.
Sophomore Caitlin Sims ended the day with a 155 (75-80). After starting the day with a 3-over-par 75 (36-39), which include a birdie and an even-par 36 on the front nine, she shot an 80 (43-37), but bounced back on the back nine with a pair of birdies.
Junior Abby Luchtenburg finished one stroke behind Sims with a 156 (75-81). She also carded a 3-over-par 75 (38-37) over the first 18 holes, tallying one birdie on the front nine and two more on the back to shoot a 1-over-par 37. Luchtenburg's 81 (43-38) in the second round did not count towards the team's total, but she did produce one birdie, which came on the front nine when she fought back with a 2-over-par 38.
Senior Maggie Ambrose rounded out the scoring for Illinois State with a 158 (80-78). Ambrose's 80 (38-42) did not count towards the team's total in the first round, but she did record one birdie over the first 18 holes. In the second round, Ambrose birdied the first three holes and finished with an even-par 36. She then shot a 42 on the back nine.
"We battled hard today," head coach Darby Sligh said. "It's a shame to have started and finished our second round so poorly after being near the top of the field. We lost focus towards the end, and it really hurt losing those shots we worked so hard for. Paige (Seiser) led us all day, and I'm proud of the way she handled herself despite not hitting the ball as well as she would have liked. We are so close to breaking through and doing something really special. Tomorrow is a big day to try and make that happen."
The Redbirds conclude the tournament Tuesday with the third and final round, which starts with a shotgun start at 7:15 a.m. CT.
