KETTERING, Ohio – The Redbirds will travel back to Ohio to Kettering, Ohio to compete in the Dayton Invitational. This tournament is the penultimate tournament in the 2018 fall season.

Format: Each team will play 36-holes in the first day. The final 18-holes are played on the last day of the tournament.
Competing Teams: Dayton, Wright State, Bradley, Cleveland State, Bowling Green, Oakland, Davidson, Fort Wayne, Marshall University, DePaul, Northern Kentucky
Redbird Lineup: David Perkins, Trent Wallace, David Rauer, Joel Durnford, Andrew O'Brien. Daniel Anfield will compete as an individual.
History at the Event: This is Illinois State's second time playing in this tournament. In 2017, the Redbirds placed in fourth out of 11 schools. Trent Wallace and David Rauer both tied for ninth out of 66 individual golfers. David Perkins and Andrew O'Brien also participated in this tournament in 2017.
About the Course: NCR Country Club is a well-known facility located in Southwest Ohio. The South Course is an extremely rigorous and demanding course of wooded, rolling terrain. The course is considered to be a championship caliber golf course and is ranked 68 Golfweek's Top 100 Classic List. The South Course was home to the 1969 PGA Championship.
Last Time Out: Illinois State's last outing was on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 at the Firestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio hosted by the University of Akron. The Redbirds placed seventh out of 17 schools scoring a three-shots above par 867 (287-285-295). David Perkins led Illinois State shooting four-under par 212 (72-69-71) and placing sixth individually amongst 90 golfers.
Next Time Out: The next tournament for the Redbirds will be their last for the 2018 fall season, as they will travel to Little Rock, Arkansas to compete in the Little Rock Intercollegiate on Monday, Oct. 22 and Tuesday, Oct. 23.
