NORMAL, Ill. - The Redbirds will head to Purdue University, Friday, Oct. 5 through Sunday, Oct. 7 to compete in the Purdue Invitational in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Tournament play will begin Friday at the Schwartz Tennis Center. Results will be posted following each round on the Purdue men's tennis Twitter (@PurdueMTennis).
In their last showing, the Illinois State men's tennis team collected eight singles wins and two doubles wins overall.
In his first appearance with the 'Birds Jorge Adair Bartra Quispe brought home the flight F championship at the WMU/Vredevelt Invitational.
Cameron Petersen went undefeated earning himself the flight H title. At the same tournament, Pol Botifoll Rius and Diego Le Gal Perez captured their first singles victories this season.
Igor Kolaric was invited to participate in the Oracle ITA Masters Sept. 20 through Sept. 23 where he battled against ranked opponents. Kolaric ultimately fell in two singles matches at the event.
In their next showing, the Redbirds will be busy competing in the ITA Regionals and the Louisville Invitational Wednesday, Oct. 17 through Monday, Oct. 22.
