CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois State's Christian Capacci advanced to the Singles Main Draw Round of 32 with a victory on Friday at XS Tennis Village in Chicago at the 2025 ITA Midwest Regional.
The doubles main draw started the day off, with the duo of Finn Logue and Jett Leong defeating Sergio Alejandro Gonzalez and Lucas Britez by a score of 8-4. That moved them into the Round of 32, where they suffered an 8-2 loss to put an end to the day.
After picking up a pair of qualifying wins on Thursday, Capacci earned his way into the main draw and proceeded to win his first singles match there over Hayden Jones by a score of 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the Round of 32 on Saturday morning.
Matches will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday with the consolation doubles matches, followed by the singles main draw round of 32 and its consolation round. The main doubles and singles draws round of 16 will cap off the third day of action at the ITA Regional.
