NORMAL, Ill. – A pair of Redbird swimmers will take flight to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the prestigious AT&T Winter National Championships this week. Juniors Kierston Farley-Sepe and Jensen Keck will compete in the long course meters, as the national meet is one of the first meets for athletes to be able to qualify for the 2020 Olympic trials.
"I am very excited for both Kierston and Jensen to have the opportunity to compete with some of the very best in the country in our sport," head swimming coach Scott Cameron said. "It will be a great experience for them and our Illinois State program, and I'm looking forward to seeing just how fast both of them can go."
Farley-Sepe will begin competition on Thursday, Nov. 29, with the 200-yard IM before battling in the 200-yard fly on Saturday, Dec. 1. Keck will compete in the 100-yard breaststroke on Friday, Nov. 30.
