Redbirds Set For CSCAA NIC Championship Challenge

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swim and dive program is set to head to Ocala, Fla., for the CSCAA NIC Championships, which begin on Thursday, March 12. Prelims for all three days will begin at 8:30 a.m., as the finals will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Four Redbirds will represent Illinois State at the championship event as Senior Delaney Boulden, Sophomore Hailey Fris, Senior Mia Snow, and Senior Ella Turken will compete for the Redbirds. The full list of events each athlete will swim in is listed below; all four student-athletes will compete in the 200 Y Free Relay and the 400 Y Free Relay:

Hailey Fris - 200 Y Back

Mia Snow - 50 Y Fly, 50 Y Free, 100 Y Fly, 100 Y Free

Ella Turken - 50 Y Free, 100 Y Free

The four swimmers competing for Illinois State are the first to compete at the event under head coach Riley Hilbrandt and will be the first appearance for the Redbirds at the event since Madyson Morse competed at the meet in 2024.
