CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois State diving team finished the Illinois-Chicago Diving Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Caroline Lecoeur led the Redbird divers with a third-place finish in the 1-meter dive (260.65) and a sixth-place finish in the 3-meter dive (238.25). Â Emily Aument earned a sixth-place finish in the 1-meter dive (247.90).
"I was happy with the diver's performances," ISU head diving coach Phil Hoffmann said. "This was a great meet for us to prepare for MVC's in just over a week. Considering we were a little banged up, I thought the divers performed well and we now know what must be done to fight for scoring opportunities at conference."Â
The entire Redbird swimming and diving team will return to competition in two weeks at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, Feb. 14-17.
