NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will host Eastern Illinois Friday, March 9 at the Bloomington Tennis Center.
Doubles play will begin at 3 p.m. CT with singles play to follow.
The Redbirds were downed, 7-0, in their last matchup with Denver. Igor Kolaric and Christoffer Greve battled hard in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots of singles, both forcing three-setters. Ultimately, falling short in both matchups.
Illinois State is 8-4 on the season. The Birds hope to add to an impressive 6-1 home record with their match against the Panthers.
The Panthers dropped their last match, 6-1, to Lindenwood and Eastern Illinois fell to 3-10 on the season.
The Redbirds will head to Fort Myers, Florida March 17 and March 18 for respective matches against Florida Gulf Coast at 4 p.m. CT and Grand Canyon at 12 p.m. CT.
