The Illinois State soccer team will look to stay hot as they battle Missouri Valley Conference opponent Valparaiso on Saturday night. Kickoff at Brown Field is set for 7:30 p.m.

Valpo – What You Need to Know
The Crusaders have yet to win a game this season, owning a 0-11-1 record. They have scored six goals on the year and junior Lauren Torhurst leads the team with two goals. Several goalkeepers have seen action for Valpo this year. Junior Kezia Gesell played the position most recently, tallying four saves in their Oct. 5 loss to Indiana State.
Redbirds vs. Crusaders
Illinois State leads the all-time series with the Crusaders, 6-1-0. However, Valpo was victorious in the last meeting between the pair, defeating the Redbirds 2-0 in a rescheduled Monday morning match at the Corn Crib in Normal, Illinois.
Last Time Out
The Redbirds posted their third straight shutout while improving its win streak to seven, after besting IUPUI in Indianapolis, 1-0, on Tuesday afternoon. Junior Natalie Vaughn-Low was the Redbird goal scorer, with senior Kate Del Fava being credited with the assist. Senior goalkeeper Haley Smith got the win in goal for the Redbirds, moving to 8-4 on the year while collecting six saves in the shutout.
