NORMAL, Ill. – Six Redbirds have been selected to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District women's soccer teams, as announced by the CSC office.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District women's soccer teams, selected by members of the CSC, recognized the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the field and in the classroom.
The six Redbirds selected include Jade Rehberger, Ava Watson, Madi Valenti, Abby Hall, Kaya Durkee, and Chloe Cline.
Rehberger earned her third straight CSC Academic All-District selection after previously being selected for the recognition in the previous two seasons. This season, Rehberger started in all 22 contests for Illinois State, logging 1,929 minutes. On Oct. 23, Rehberger captured her first career goal against Drake. Rehberger recorded a 3.79 cumulative grade-point average while studying Biological Sciences and Zoology.
Watson earns her second consecutive CSC Academic All-District selection after receiving the honor in 2024-25. In 2025, Watson matched a career best 20 starts for Illinois State and logged a career high of 1,778 minutes across the campaign. In the classroom, Watson accumulated a cumulative grade-point average of 4.00 while majoring in Biological Sciences.
Valenti joins Watson as the second Redbird to earn the CSC Academic All-District selection for the second consecutive season with her 2025 selection. In 2025, Valenti earned the Missouri Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Year award after she broke the MVC and Illinois State record for shutouts in a season with 12 clean sheets across the campaign. Valenti, a Risk Management and Insurance major, tallied a cumulative grade-point average of 3.95.
Hall, alongside Valenti and Watson, earned CSC Academic All-District recognition for the second consecutive year in 2025. This season, Hall started in 18 contests for the Redbirds and played a pivotal role in Illinois State's MVC tournament run as she scored the winning goal in the Redbirds' 1-0 victory over Drake in the semifinals. A computer science major, Hall posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.98.
Durkee earned her first career CSC Academic All-District recognition with this year's selection. In 2025, Durkee led the Redbirds with 1,996 minutes played across the season. The mark now sits as the third most in a season from a Redbird in program history. As a Mass Media major, Durkee accumulated a cumulative grade-point average of 3.68.
Cline joins Durkee as the second Illinois State student-athlete to receive their first CSC Academic All-District selection. This season, Cline became the first player since 2019 to record a postseason brace with two goals in the Redbirds' first-round victory over Southern Illinois. In the classroom, Cline accumulated a cumulative grade-point average of 3.58.
