NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State soccer head coach Raleigh DeRose and the Redbird soccer program have announced three additions to the 2026 signing class.
Illinois State soccer will add to its 2026 class with the addition of Rowann Law, Sosi Dadekian, and Jordan Gary. The transfers join Bailey Leach and Brooklyn Ludwig as the newest Redbirds ahead of the 2026 season.
Rowann Law joins Illinois State soccer after spending one season at Missouri State in 2025. In her lone season with the Bears, Law made 10 appearances and scored her first collegiate goal in a 1-1 draw against Nebraska. A native of Chatham, Illinois, Law will reunite with her twin sister, Rylann, who led the Redbirds in scoring during the 2025 season with four goals. In high school, the Law sisters helped lead Glenwood High School to an Illinois state title and two conference championships.
"Rowann is a talented player who brings speed, athleticism, and versatility to our team. She has innate instincts to impact both sides of the ball, using her attacking qualities in the final third while also covering significant ground defensively. Her energy and two-way play will be a valuable addition to our program." DeRose added.
Sosi Dadekian, a native of Bloomington, Ill., returns to the Bloomington-Normal area after previously spending one season at Illinois. As a defender, Dadekian appeared in two contests for the Fighting Illini in 2025. In high school, Dadekian played at Bloomington High School for one season, scoring eight goals and adding 12 assists to earn a unanimous All-Big 12 Conference First Team selection and earn IHSCCA All-Sectional First Team honors in her freshman season. At the club level, Dadekian played for eight seasons, including most recently with Central Illinois United. In 2022, Dadekian secured a USYS Midwest Regionals U-15 Championship and was a USYS National Championship finalist with Eclipse Select Central Illinois.
"A local player from Bloomington, IL, Sosi is a talented player who brings a strong defensive presence and a true warrior mentality on the field. Her ability to break up plays and compete in aerial challenges, combined with her composure and skill on the ball in build-up situations, will be a great addition to our defensive unit." DeRose stated.
Jordan Gary returns to the Prairie State after spending the previous three seasons with Saint Louis. A native of Collinsville, Ill., adds a wealth of experience after making 61 appearances, including five starts as a defender for the Billikins. In three seasons, Gary tallied two goals and added a pair of assists in 1,815 minutes played. At the club level, Gary was a three-time ECNL 2004 Midwest First-Team All-Conference honoree from 2018–21, three-time Midwest Conference ECNL Player to Watch from 2019–21. In 2019, Gary was selected to the International Champions Cup Futures Midwest All-Star Team and competed against FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and other European clubs. At the ICC, Gary won the Trophy Division championship, earned Tournament Top 11 honors, and secured the Golden Boot Award. At Collinsville High School, Gary earned IHSA All-State recognition in soccer in 2023 and was a two-time First-Team All-Conference selection in 2022 and 2023.
"Jordan is a talented player who brings experience, leadership, and a competitive drive to our program. She has proven to be a high-level and tenacious defender in her 1v1 battles. Jordan also has a strong desire to get forward in the attack, using her ability to break lines in all three thirds of the field." DeRose mentioned.
