The Brock Spack Show Airs Live From Schooners Thursday

NORMAL, Ill. – Coming off a solid road win last week at Southern Illinois, No. 10 Illinois State continues its Land of Lincoln road swing this weekend at Western Illinois. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the road battle against the Fighting Leathernecks at The Brock Spack Show, presented by Bud Light, live from Schooners Thursday night in Bloomington beginning at 6 p.m.

The Redbirds (4-2, 1-1 MVFC) took an early lead and never looked back in Carbondale, as they pulled away for a 21-7 win at Saluki Stadium to pick up a second-straight win over the Salukis. ISU will look to pick up a win over another in-state foe Saturday in the Leathernecks (0-6, 0-2 MVFC), who dropped a 20-10 decision at Indiana State last weekend to drop to 0-2 in conference play. The Redbirds have won eight out of the last nine matchups against the Leathernecks overall and are 9-2 against WIU under the leadership of head coach Brock Spack.

Co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz will also welcome senior wide receiver Braxton Haley to the show as this week's player guest. The Athens, Georgia, native posted his best performance of the season against the Salukis, doubling his season numbers with five catches for 72 yards in the win for the Redbirds. Through six games, Haley has 10 receptions for 108 yards with a long reception of 19.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com. Fans can also listen to the show via the TuneIn app by searching "Illinois St. Redbirds Sports Network."
