The Illinois State soccer team will take a brief break from Missouri Valley Conference play, traveling to Indianapolis on Tuesday to take on the IUPUI Jaguars of the Horizon League. Kickoff at Michael A. Carroll Stadium is set for 3 p.m. CT.

IUPUI – What You Need to Know
The Jaguars are 9-3-1 on the season and are currently on a four game winning streak entering Tuesday's match with the Redbirds. Junior Valentine Pursey and freshman Maya Lacognato both have a team-high five goals on the season, with Pursey also leading IUPUI in assists (5) and points (5). Senior Sophia Lipka has spent the most time in goal this year, holding a 6-3 record and posting 41 saves so far in the 2019 campaign.
Head coach Chris Johnson is in his 17th season at the helm of IUPUI women's soccer program and his 26th year as a collegiate head coach.
Redbirds vs. Jaguars
IUPUI leads the all-time series with Illinois State, 2-1, winning their last two meetings. Last season, the Jaguars defeated the Redbirds, 4-0, at Adelaide Street Field.
Last Time Out
Redbird soccer downed Evansville, 3-0, at home on Sunday afternoon, to improve to 8-4 on the season and 2-0 in MVC play. Senior Kate Del Fava recorded two goals and an assist in the victory with senior Brittany Paganucci adding a goal of her own. Junior Natalie Vaughn-Low was credited with assists on both of Del Fava's goals. Senior goalkeeper Haley Smith collected six saves in goal en route to her fourth shutout win of the season.
