Special Playoff Edition Of The Brock Spack Show Airs Wednesday From Schooners

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State football team has advanced to the quarterfinal round of the FCS playoffs and will take on No. 1 seed and defending national champion North Dakota State on Saturday at 11 a.m. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the contest against the Bison at The Brock Spack Show, presented by Bud Light, live from Schooners Wednesday night in Bloomington beginning at 6 p.m.

Behind another dominant effort on the ground by senior All-American running back James Robinson, Illinois State (10-4) ran away with a 24-14 victory over No. 8 national seed Central Arkansas (9-4) Saturday afternoon in the second round of the FCS playoffs at Estes Stadium. Robinson is now the only player in Missouri Valley Football Conference history with a pair of 200-plus yard performances in the FCS playoffs.

Co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz will also welcome junior offensive tackle Drew Himmelman to the show as this week's player guest. The Geneseo, Illinois, native was named an All-Missouri Valley Football Conference First-Team selection and earned MVFC All-Academic First Team honors after a stellar junior season up front for the Redbirds.  A two-time MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week recipient, led way for the league's leading rusher in James Robinson, who has recorded 1,823 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard.
