SIUE's Allie Troeckler led the Cougars in scoring with 13 points and Sydney Bauman recorded a double-double (12 pts, 12 reb). Former Redbird Simone Goods also had a double-double (25 pts, 12 reb) in the losing effort.

MID-MAJOR TOP 25
Illinois State is receiving votes for the third consecutive week in the latest update of College Insider's Mid-Major Top 25. The poll, which is in its 10th year of existence, is made up of teams outside the Power Five conferences. Loyola Chicago and Bradley are also receiving votes, with three other MVC teams ranked in the poll: Missouri State (2), Drake (6) and UNI (23). Six opponents on the Redbirds' 2019-20 schedule are either ranked or receiving votes.

PROTECT THE NEST
Illinois State is 4-0 on Doug Collins Court so far this season. The Redbirds were 11-3 at Redbird Arena during the 2018-19 season and are 258-164 all-time when they have the home court advantage.

LAST TIME OUT
The Illinois State women's basketball team fell to Saint Louis, 61-56, in a back-and-forth heartbreaker last Sunday at Chaifetz Arena. The game ended ISU's five-game winning streak and featured five different lead changes and four ties.

Junior Juliunn Redmond led all scoring with a career-high 23 points, going 9-of-14 from the field. Senior Lexi Wallen added nine points and four rebounds, with Lexy Koudelka and Paige Saylor each adding seven points of their own. Koudelka also had a team-high six rebounds.

PROMOTIONS
Monday's game versus SIUE will be the first of two Education Days put on by the Redbirds this week. Many local elementary schools will be in attendance to support the 'Birds, with over 1,500 students expected at each game.

The team spent the past week visiting schools in the area and getting to know some of their young fans, prior to the games. Sugar Creek Elementary, where local freshman Maya Wong went, was one of the schools visited and will be in attendance at Monday's game.

For both games, schools will be dropping off at the circle drive north of the arena. Season ticket holders and general public are encouraged to use the East Entrance to avoid high traffic as students come through the North Entrance.

Public seating will be available in sections 101-108 on Monday and in sections 103-106 on Thursday.
