About the Course: This course is known for its steep hill and requires shotmaking skills from the golfers. El Campeón has been ranked the number one course in Florida since 2012 by Golf Channel's GolfAdvisor.
Quote from Coach Ray Kralis: "It's been a productive break thus far where we re-esablished some momentum with our play at USF and had four additional days of play and practice which is invaluable because of the winter we had. This is a good golf course with deep and strong field, so you can't afford to give anything away because of mental or emotional errors. Speed control on the greens is going to be a factor because of the severity of the slopes, and it will get you if you get sloppy. Coming off a strong finish earlier in the week, I know everyone is excited to get back at it."
Last Time Out: The squad tied for second overall at the USF Invitational in Tampa, Fla. Senior Trent Wallace earned the medalist honor from the tournament after shooting a 12 under par 204 (68-69-67) and was named the MVC Golfer of the Week afterwards. The Redbirds finished with a score of 866 (290-288-288).
Next Time Out: The squad will return to the field April 8-9 at the Tiger Invitational in Columbia, Mo.
