History at the Event: This will be Illinois State's first time attending the USF Invitational.
About the Course: Tampa Palms stands above the rest of the Tampa Bay golf courses for being one of the most prestigious and challenging courses in Florida. The Tampa Palms Golf Course offers some of the best conditions in the Tampa area.
Quote from Coach Ray Kralis: "Looking forward to starting again at zero and getting back into competition. We have shown individual flashes but need to get contributions from everyone. Dave Perkins will not be with us at USF due to personal reasons, and we'll need a collective effort to make up for his absence. It is a great opportunity for the guys to step up. Ben Tyrrell will also be playing as an individual."
Last Time Out: The last tournament the Redbirds played in was Feb. 23-24 at the Seminole Intercollegiate. The team battled against a highly skilled field and tied for 11th out of 14 schools. Senior Trent Wallace had a noteworthy performance with a one-under par 215 (72-69-74) and was titled the MVC Golfer of the week for that week.
Next Time Out: The squad's next outing will be at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida from March 16-17.
