PEORIA, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team completed the final matches of the Bradley Invitational Sunday, finishing the last day going 2-2 in singles play.
Senior Tara Damnjanovic secured seventh place in her bracket by taking down Saint Louis's Cassie McKenzie 6-1, 6-3. Senior Laura Arciniegas also tallied a win for the 'Birds, coming back against Bradley's Victoria Sanchez Bronzetti 0-6, 7-5, 10-8. Arciniegas finished the Invitational 2-1 in singles play
"Overall it was a good event, we got a lot a lot of tough matches and played better each day," ISU head coach Maja Kovacek said.
The Redbirds will be back in action on Friday, October 4, to participate in the MVC Individual Championships.
