NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State diving team will wrap up its non-conference slate tomorrow morning, when it travels to Chicago to compete in the annual University of Illinois-Chicago Diving Invitational. Action is set to begin from UIC Natatorium at 11 a.m.
The Redbirds are led on the boards by junior Caroline Lecoeur, who most recently swept her Missouri Valley Conference competition in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events at Horton Pool on Jan. 18. The Lyons, France, native was named the Valley's Diver of the Week for the fourth time after this performance against UNI.
Three additional Redbirds – Emma Butts, Kamryn Blake and Andie Bernhardt – will accompany Lecoeur in Chicago tomorrow, before the full team joins forces at the 2020 MVC Swimming and Diving Championships, Feb. 19-22, in Columbia, Missouri.
