Redmond Named MVC Newcomer of the Week for Third-Straight Week

ST. LOUIS – Junior Juliunn Redmond was tabbed the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week for the third consecutive week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. This is Redmond's third weekly conference honor and the fifth time this year the women's basketball team has had a player recognized.

Redmond is the first Valley player to earn the Newcomer of the Week honor three weeks in a row since Drake's Becca Hittner did so in the 2016-17 season (Dec. 19, Dec. 26, and Jan. 2).

The junior collected her second double-double of the season in ISU's lone game versus Bradley over the weekend, posting a team-high 18 points while also matching her career-high of 11 rebounds and adding two assists and two steals.

Redmond is averaging 13.2 points per game in Valley play and has scored in double figures in eight of the last nine games.
