Normal, Ill.-- The Illinois State women's soccer team is set to play their second and final exhibition game of the season this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. This one pits the Redbirds against in-state Division II opponent UIS (Illinois-Springfield) at a neutral site in Pekin, Ill.
The Redbirds will look to get their first exhibition win of the season, with the last exhibition match against DePaul resulting in a 1-1 tie.
The Redbirds are coming off a loss in a tight match to Marquette in the team's official season opener. The game saw the Redbirds compete with the Big East opponent, but fall short, 3-2. Senior Ashley Santos scored the two goals for the 'Birds, the first goals of her career. She looks to continue to make a big impact on the scoresheet for Illinois State at midfield against UIS and for the rest of the season.
There will not be a stream or live stats for Thursday's match, but fans can follow along on Twitter for in-game updates.

Last season the Prairie Stars went 8-10 on the season, going 7-8 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, to finish 9th overall.
The team will be without last year's leading scorer Maggie Juhlin, who finished the 2019 season with 22 total points.
The team is coached by Erin Egolf, who is now in her 11th year as a member of the program, spending time as a player, assistant coach, and is now entering her 5th season as head coach of the Prairie Stars.
