NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State baseball team's Sunday doubleheader at Belmont has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions at the Bruins' E.S. Rose Park.
The Redbirds and Bruins were originally scheduled for a four-game series over February 19-21, but had the Friday game pushed back to a Sunday doubleheader. Then, Saturday's doubleheader was cancelled, prior to Sunday's doubleheader being pushed back two hours, and then concluding with a full cancellation.
Illinois State is currently scheduled to open its season on Friday, February 26 at Oklahoma State.
