Redbirds Make Three Additions To 2026 Class

NORMAL, Ill. –  Illinois State head coach Steve Holm and the Redbird baseball program have announced three additions to their 2026 signing class. 

The additions include Tyler Reyburn (Frederick, Colo.), Nick Shrider (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada), and Lance Kieseswetter (Henry, Ill.) who join the Redbirds seven signees from Wednesday in the incoming 2026 class. =

Tyler Reyburn will join the Redbirds after spending two seasons at McCook Community College in Colorado. A Frederick, Colo. native, Reyburn recorded a .301 batting average in 53 games played. Reyburn added three home runs with 30 RBIs in his freshman season at McCook. 

"Tyler has consistently competed at a high level, showing the ability to control the game behind the plate and handle pitchers, while also delivering quality at-bats." Holm added. 

Nick Shrider joins Illinois State from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, after spending two seasons at Williston State College. In his rookie season with the Tetons, Shrider tossed 42.0 innings pitched and recorded 39 punchouts. 

"Nick comes from a program that faces strong competition regularly and has proven he can attack hitters with confidence while maintaining poise on the mound." Holm stated. 

Lance Kieseswetter heads to Illinois State after spending two seasons at Heartland Community College. In 2025, Kieseswetter tossed 18 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts. A Henry, Ill. native, Kieseswetter was a three-time First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State member and was an IHSBCA Class 1A Player of the Year in his junior season at Henry Senachwine High School. 

"Lance is a polished right-handed pitcher and has pitched in a competitive environment, showing the ability to locate multiple pitches and perform under pressure, giving him the tools to make an immediate impact as a Redbird." Holm mentioned.
