MOLINE, Ill. – Redshirt sophomore Mary Crompton has been voted the Missouri Valley Conference's first-ever Most Improved Player, as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.
Crompton leads the league and is ranked 7th nationally in three-point percentage, shooting 46.4% from deep on the year. Her 2.6 triples per game and 52 made three-point field goals on this year ranks 40th in all of NCAA DI in both categories. She is averaging 11.2 points per game and has drained 4+ triples in six games on the season.
Crompton, who set the Illinois State freshman three-point record last season with 68 triples, is closing in on the sophomore record and currently ranks ninth all-time in program history with 128 career three-pointers.
