Normal, Ill.-- The Illinois State women's soccer team is set to host the Indiana State Sycamores at Adelaide Street Field on Saturday, March 12 at 1 p.m. The Redbirds will look to bounce back from a close 1-0 loss at Drake, their first conference loss of the season. Currently Illinois State sits at 1-0 when playing at home this season, taking the dominant 3-0 win over Missouri State. In conference play the Redbirds are currently 2-1 and sit at 2-3 overall.
Last season when the Redbirds and Sycamores met, the 'Birds took a commanding 3-0 victory in Terre Haute, Ind., outshooting the Sycamores 23-7 in the match. Overall, Illinois State leads the all-time series 21-5, winning eight of the last ten matches.

Indiana State - What You Need to Know
The Sycamores currently sit at 2-2 on the season, and 2-1 in the MVC. Indiana State has taken wins over Drake and Southern Illinois in conference play this season. The Sycamores and Redbirds had a mutual non-conference opponent in Saint Louis, with Indiana State being defeated by the Billikens 3-0, while the Redbirds were defeated 3-1.
Last season the Sycamores went 1-5-1 in MVC play and 3-11-2 overall.
Indiana State is a team with many new faces this season, composed of eight freshman, nine sophomores, three juniors, and three seniors.
