NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State baseball team's first home game appears to be coming 17 days sooner than initially expected, after the team added a home contest against Western Illinois on March 9 at 6:00 p.m. The game is tentatively scheduled to be streamed on ESPN 3/+.
The game will be the first Redbird game at Duffy Bass Field since 5/24/2019, a span of 655 days. ISU's initial schedule had the first home game set for March 26, the start of a three-game set against Arkansas State.
Illinois State is scheduled for a four-game series at SEMO over March 5-7.
