NORMAL, Ill. – Kyle Leslie has been hired as Illinois State's Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance & Student Services, as announced by the department on Tuesday.
"Kyle brings the experience and knowledge that we were seeking for this important NCAA compliance position within our department," Illinois State Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Student Services Cindy Harris said. "So many of our coaches and staff will rely on him. Better yet, Kyle impressed us with his work ethic and collaborative approach to working with our diverse group of campus partners. We are fortunate to have him, his wife Amy and their children join us at ISU."
Leslie comes to Illinois State after working the past three years as Director of Athletic Compliance at BYU. In that role, he oversaw all daily compliance regulations for seven Division 1 intercollegiate athletic teams.
Prior to working at BYU, Leslie spent three years at Fresno State, most recently, as Assistant Director of Compliance. There he assisted in the monitoring and administration of financial aid and served as the athletic department liaison for housing, bookstore, financial aid and scholarship office, and campus accounting.
Leslie began his compliance career as a student intern in the Nebraska compliance office, before working one year as a graduate assistant in the West Virginia compliance office. He earned his bachelor's degree in sports administration from LSU in and completed his master's degree in sport management at West Virginia.
Originally from North Bend, Oregon, Leslie and his wife, Amy, have three sons and one daughter.Â
