ST. LOUIS – Fifth year Juliunn Redmond and junior DeAnna Wilson were both named to the 2022 All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning.
Redmond, a senior from Chicago, repeated as an All-MVC First Team honoree after being recognized as such last season and earning an Honorable Mention nod during the 2019-20 campaign. The fifth year led the Valley in scoring this season, averaging 17.1 points per game while also ranking top-10 in free throw percentage (1st), minutes played (3rd), field goal percentage (7th), assists (9th) and assists/turnover ratio (9th).
Wilson, a junior from St. Louis, also earned All-MVC First Team honors this season after being named to the MVC All-Newcomer Team during her sophomore campaign. The junior leads the 'Birds on the boards this season, averaging 7.6 rebounds paired with 13.5 points per game and ranks top-10 in the MVC in rebounding (4th), scoring (6th) and field goal percentage (9th).
