NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head women's basketball coach Kristen Gillespie announced Saturday that Drury graduate transfer Paige Robinson has signed on to compete for the Redbirds for the 2022-23 season. The 2021 NCAA Division II Player of the Year scored over 2,000 points in her four-year career at Drury, helping the Panthers to 123-8 record during that span that included a Final Four finish in 2019 and an appearance in the NCAA D-II title game in 2021.
"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Paige to our program," said Gillespie. "She is a gifted player who can score in a variety of ways. Paige is a proven winner that will be a great addition to our backcourt."

- A four-time D-II All-American and as well as All-GLVC First Team selection, Robinson was the unanimous GLVC Player of the Year in 2021 and the GLVC Freshman of the Year in 2019
- Named the 2021 NCAA Division II Player of the Year by the WBCA and selected for the Ron Lenz Award as the D-II Player of the Year by D2CCA
- Averaged 21.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.0 steals during the most recent 2021-22 season, shooting 47.3% from the floor, 38.8% from deep and 86% from the free throw line
- Finished her four-year career as a Panther as Drury's three-point field goal career record holder (271 3FG) as well as ranked 2nd all-time in scoring (2,016 points), 7th in assists (344 assists), 8th in steals (190 steals) and 14th in rebounding (451)
- Was a two-time Decatur Herald-Review Area Player of the Year while at Okaw Valley High School in Bethany, Illinois, where she led her team to their first state championship appearance in program history as a senior during the 2017-18 season (played at Redbird Arena)
Robinson joins freshmen Abbie Aalsma (Waupun, Wis./Waupun HS) and Taylor Veach (Dewitt, Iowa/Central Dewitt HS) as newcomers to the 2022-23 squad.
