STILLWATER, Okla. – Coming in as a second-round substitution, ISU junior Vinisha Gunaseelan shot a team-low 76 for the Redbirds on the second day of the 2022 NCAA Stillwater Regional.
Gunaseelan was one under par over her back nine, including birdies on her 11th and 13th holes, to go along with 10 pars for her 76 on the difficult course that saw just six golfers score under par for the round.
Nationally ranked Baylor (17th) leads the field through two days, as each of the top seven schools in the tournament are inside of the top-45 in the country.
Avalon Woodward – ISU's low scorer after the first 18 holes – carded a second-round 80, and she currently is tied for 37th individually in the strong field that has 15 golfers ranked inside of the top 100.
Ali Schrock carded a second-round 83 – her second consecutive day with that score – and she is 55th in the field, while Emma Rouger's 85 for the round has her 56th individually. Sophomore Kira Wolf shot an 88 and stands 59th among the golfers in the tournament.
The Redbirds return to the course for the third and final round on Wednesday morning.
