FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Redshirt sophomore Rachel Hickey was the lone Redbird to compete on day two of the NCAA West Preliminary Round, as she advanced to Saturday's 800m quarterfinal.
Hickey posted a qualifying time of 2:06.28 to finish fifth in heat one. She clocked the 16th-fastest time overall and is set to race Saturday at 7:05 p.m. CT, where she will need to finish in the top-12 to advance to the NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships.
