EUGENE, Ore. – Redshirt senior thrower Logan Calvin earned First Team All-America honors in the shot put at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, becoming the second Redbird in school history to earn First Team honors in the men's shot put. With a sixth-place finish, Calvin also becomes the highest finisher in school history in the men's shot put at an NCAA meet.
On his second throw of the night, Calvin tossed his best mark of the meet at 19.83m (65-3.25). The throw moved him into fifth overall, as he earned three more attempts. Five of Calvin's six throws were above 19 meters, as he finished the NCAA meet in sixth-place.
