NORMAL, Ill. – With thunderstorms overnight and more inclement weather expected for Saturday afternoon, the Illinois State football team moved its annual fall Red-White Scrimmage to the morning at Hancock Stadium but still had to battle some light rain during the quick final scrimmage of fall training camp.
Scrimmage Notes:
•   The scrimmage was quicker than last weekend's first one, going nearly 60 plays in total with each of the three offensive and defensive units getting time to take the field.
•   Situations practiced included driving the field, overtime work, a 4-minute drill and a 2-minute work.
Scoring Summary:
•   The only points of the day came during the overtime period, with both the first and third-team units scoring touchdowns on their attempts.
•   The first-team unit, led by quarterback Zack Annexstad, needed just four plays to find the endzone as he connected with Bryson Deming on a 14-yard touchdown pass and the extra point was good by Josh Jasek.
•   Following an interception by Keondre Jackson in the endzone that put an end to the second-team offensive unit's try, the third-team led by quarterback Jackson scored five plays in on a 3-yard touchdown pass to Lavarion Logan and the extra point was good off the foot of Jack Takerian.
