Missouri Valley Conference Unveils 2022-23 League Schedule

MOLINE, Ill.– The Missouri Valley Conference has announced the league's women's basketball schedule, with Illinois State to open the 20-game 2022-23 conference slate on December 30 with the Drake Bulldogs coming to Redbird Arena.

With the Redbird non-conference schedule already previously announced, the complete Illinois State women's basketball slate is now available on GoRedbirds.com.

After the MVC opener in Normal versus the Bulldogs, the 'Birds remain at home once more as they welcome UNI to Normal on New Year's Day (Jan 1). Following their two-game home stint, ISU takes to the road for a four-game trip against Missouri State (Jan. 5), Southern Illinois (Jan. 7), Bradley (Jan. 12), and one of the MVC's newest members, Belmont (Jan. 15).

Returning home, the 'Birds welcome in Indiana State (Jan. 20) and Evansville (Jan. 22) for a short two-game home stint. To round out the month of January, it will be the 'Birds on the road to face Valparaiso (Jan. 27) and another new MVC member, UIC, on Jan. 29.

The Redbirds start off February with four straight at home as Bradley (Feb. 2), new MVC member, Murray State (Feb. 5), Southern Illinois (Feb. 10), and Missouri State (Feb. 12) all pay a visit to Redbird Arena. Then, it is another two-game road trip for the 'Birds as they travel to face UNI (Feb. 16) and Drake (Feb. 18). Finally, the month of February ends for the 'Birds as they welcome in UIC (Feb. 23) and Valparaiso (Feb. 25) to Normal.

The final stretch of the regular season takes place in the Hoosier State as ISU is on the road at Evansville (Mar. 2) and Indiana State (Mar. 4). Following the regular season, the MVC Hoops in the Heartland Tournament will commence in the Quad Cities from Mar. 9-12.
