NORMAL, Ill. – The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2023-2024 Women's Basketball schedule Thursday morning. Illinois State opens December 30 vs Bradley at CEFCU Arena.
After closing out 2023 at home against the Braves, four of Illinois State's first six Valley contests in 2024 will be on the road. Illinois State heads to Belmont (Jan. 4) and Murray State (Jan. 6) to ring in the new year before hosting Southern Illinois (Jan. 10) and Missouri State (Jan. 14 or 15) at CEFCU Arena. The Redbirds will then head back out on the road at Valparaiso (Jan. 19) and UIC (Jan. 21).
Illinois State is set to host UNI (Jan. 25) and Drake (Jan. 27) to close the month of January.
February opens with three straight road contests as Illinois State heads to Indiana State (Feb. 4), then to UNI (Feb. 8) and Drake (Feb. 10). The return contests with the Panthers and Bulldogs will come exactly two weeks after initial meetings at CEFCU Arena.
The Redbirds will then open a five-game stretch of games inside the Illinois state lines. UIC (Feb. 15) and Valparaiso (Feb. 17) visit CEFCU Arena ahead of Illinois State's return game at Bradley (Feb. 22). The Redbirds host Evansville (Feb. 25) and travel to Southern Illinois (Feb. 29) to cap off the month of February.
Illinois State's conference road finale is set at Missouri State (March 2). The Redbirds host Murray State (March 7) and Belmont (March 9) to close the regular season.
The 2024 edition of Hoops in the Heartland is set for March 14-17 at Vibrant Arena in Moline, Ill.
