TULSA, Okla. – Illinois State men's tennis standouts Adrian Dibildox and Nam Pham each picked up postseason honors on Thursday, as each found their names among the Summit League's best in the annual all-league awards announced before this weekend's 2023 Summit League Tennis Championships.
Dibildox made an immediate impact for the Redbirds in his first season on campus, putting together a 19-7 overall record and an 11-7 mark during the spring dual meet season to earn All-Summit League honors. During Summit League play the Monterrey, Mexico, native went 4-1 playing at the No. 5 spot for the Redbirds and finished the season by winning six of his last eight matches overall. In each of his League wins, Dibildox won in straight sets, and he also played the majority of the spring at the No. 1 doubles spot with partner Arvid Hjalte.
Pham, last year's Summit League Player of the Year, had another solid year for the Redbirds and earned All-Summit League Honorable Mention honors. The Lenexa, Kansas, native was 19-13 overall in singles action, including a 15-8 mark during the spring dual meet season playing solely at the No. 1 spot for the Redbirds. He also won twice during league play in doubles action at the No. 3 spot with partner Ming-Chieh Chiu.
