Indianapolis, Ind. – Butler blanked the Redbirds 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis. The Bulldogs outshout the Redbirds 22-0 with nine shots on goal.
Butler started off the scoring with a goal in the 20th minute from Alexei Whittaker with assists from Norah Jacomen and Emily O'Malley; the only offense in first half from either team. In the second, goals in the 65th minute and the 68th minute sealed the three-nil victory for the Bulldogs.
Illinois State earned a single corner kick in the game, coming in the first half, but could not find the finish. In goal, Audrey Brown had five saves off the 22 shots from the Bulldogs, but the Redbirds were shut out on the other side, not finding a shot or a shot on goal.

The Redbirds continue play one more on the road at Cincinnati next Sunday before returning for their home opener against North Dakota on August 31st.
