TULSA, Okla. – Illinois State seniors Arvid Hjalte and Nam Pham will head to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to compete at the ITA Men's All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the Tulsa campus. The LaFortune Park Tennis Center will also host pre-qualifying and qualifying rounds.
Over 500 of the nation's top collegiate tennis players from up to 100 schools will gather in Tulsa to play for the first major national championship of the fall season beginning on Saturday morning. The Pre-Qualifying Rounds will take place Sept. 30-Oct. 1, while the Qualifying Rounds run from Oct. 2-3 and the Main Draws will span from Oct. 4-8.
Hjalte will take on Ali Amiri of UC Irvine at 8 a.m. Saturday morning and Pham will challenge Billy Suarez of Tulane at 9:45 a.m. If both pick up victories, they will play again in the afternoon on Saturday.
In addition to vying for All-American National Titles, competing players are looking to secure berths into the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships, which will take place from November 1-5, at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California.
